Portfolio
Hey, I’m Yanira! Welcome to my portfolio page. I have worked as a social media manager since 2021 and have gathered experience across very different industries: from healthcare and hospitality through to beauty and wellness salons. On top of that come projects for faith institutions, such as Buddhist temples in China or the Catholic youth festival of Switzerland. I was employed among others at Lucerne Clinic, one of the top 3 beauty clinics in Switzerland, and at ANALYTICA Medizinische Laboratorien AG in Zürich.

As a senior graphic designer I work with plenty of people who take good pictures. Rarer are the ones who can also write. Yanira took over the photography across every department, from the laboratory through to administration, plus all of the event photography. She got colleagues in front of the camera who had no interest in being photographed. She makes people comfortable without it ever looking posed. After ten minutes the scepticism was gone, and you can still see that in the pictures today. With the LinkedIn copywriting it mattered to me that someone understands who is reading: doctors, laboratory specialists, referrers. That is a different language from B2C content, no lifestyle tone, but still readable. Yanira hit that balance from the start. She thought along rather than just working through a list, and as her supervisor I rarely had to correct anything.

Yanira was the first social media manager we ever hired, and we did not really know what to expect. She shot all our food photography herself, at a level we had only seen from agencies, and grew our channels from almost nothing to a steady 200 to 300 likes per post. What stayed with us most was how much she thought along with us. She brought ideas before we had to ask, delivered on time, and stepped in on things well beyond social media. She understood early that this was never just about Instagram, it was about how guests see us.

I value manual engagement and real conversations much more instead of bought numbers. When the content speaks precisely to the right target audience, the people who follow are the ones who actually fit the brand, which means fewer followers but far more of the right ones.
The first step for me is to truly get to understand and know a brand on a deep level and to understand the values, because then I know how to visualize it properly. A medical laboratory and a lifestyle brand do not sound the same, and that difference shows up in every video and every instagram feed.
Social media is often done remotely these days, but the content itself still has to be made somewhere, and I would rather be the one standing in the room. I have been photographing and filming since childhood, and what I do best is capture people in a way that feels natural and unposed, so that whoever is watching feels the warmth in the room rather than it being a stiff photo.
A lot of content looks beautiful and says nothing, because it was made to fill a grid rather than to mean something. I know how to find the soul of a company and translate it into a feed and into videos that genuinely reflect their values, their people and their services. I do so in storytelling through design, brand identity, photo- and videography.
